Both Dōms Super Early Bird Special does not show that lids come with it. Do they?
YES! With the dozens of times we went through proof reading the campaign before we launched, we made a mistake and forgot to add the “what’s included” bullet points for this one!
Rest assured that every single SplatterDōm comes with its respective lid size. What this reward should say is:
INCLUDES: -SplatterDōm 8/10” -Multipurpose 8” Lid -SplatterDōm 10/12” -Multipurpose 10” Lid
We have asked Kickstarter to help us change this on their back end, since we are unable to make the adjustment ourselves after anyone has pledged for this reward, so we hope that there is a way their internal team can adjust this.

How do I select my colour?
Colour selection will be made after the campaign is over and when we begin obtaining shipping information. There will be pictures of the various options, but for those of you having a hard time deciding, while cameras don’t often do colours justice, here are the Pantone’s for each colour option: Violet - 2745C Bordeaux-ish - 361C (they have a ‘raspberry’ tint to them) Lime Green - 1815C

Are there any limitations to using SplatterDōm?
Not really. Just don’t place it in direct contact with flames or heating elements (this means the oven as well). SplatterDōm’s height should not be adjusted while on a hot cooking device and once you are done cooking, simply pick it up by the handles and place it in your sink or dishwasher.

How will shipping work?
After the campaign has concluded and all has settled, we will provide information to each backer on the process to pick your colour and select the most appropriate shipping option. Remember that depending on your location, you may be subject to tax/duties/customs/VAT. In jurisdictions where VAT and customs are charged, please be prepared that upon arrival of your reward(s), you may have to pay customs fees and/or VAT. As this is our first campaign, we are continuing to learn about different nuances pertaining to fulfilment. Our commitment to you is that of transparency and honesty.

Does using SplatterDōm change the length of cooking time?
It depends. We found during our multiyear long R&D process that cooking with SplatterDōm might slightly alter cooking times, mainly because of how heat doesn’t escape as easily. For example, searing a steak on a cast iron won’t overcook with the Dōm in place so long as it is made without the lid (you will get a great sear without the mess that is usually associated with it, such as oily splatter). Tomato sauce on the other hand (despite having a mind of its own) can be simmered at lower temperatures without taking longer to cook. Once you receive your unit(s), take some time to play around with it. We are here to answer any questions you may have, and even provide you with some tips and tricks of how you can get the most out of your Dōm!

Is there any risk of it melting while being used?
If used properly as per package instructions (eg. not placed directly on heating element or placed in direct contact with flames), SplatterDōm will not melt as it is made with 100% pure food grade silicone with no additives.

What problem does SplatterDōm solve?
SplatterDōm solves several problems that no other splatter guard ever could. I just tried to complete my survey but it says it's closed. What do I do?
We have communicated with backers via project updates, and to several of you via personal Kickstarter and email messages that with the constant changes in global logistics, fuel prices, etc, we could not hold our shipping rates indefinitely. Couple that with the fees we are paying to hold items, we needed to close surveys and have any late backers contact us directly to complete the survey so that we can update the shipping rate appropriately. Some regions have experienced higher rate fluctuations than others, but going about it this way allows us to give you live and accurate shipping rates to complete your survey.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
